Water fun!!!

We finally got our own splash pad!!! I know it is the end of September but the city still has the water on in the splash pad, they only recently finished it so I think they are wanting people to come and use it and anticipate next years fun there.

It was funny watching the kids get their courage up and run through the water, and watch as it took their breath away slightly. They were in pure bliss for a full 30 minutes then it was back to... I am hungry, I am thirsty, and that was that.

Our double yoker!!

I cooked some fried eggs this morning for my girls before school and one of the eggs had two yokes in it. I was very surprised. I have seen pictures of double yokes but I never thought we would get one. Sheridon said, "Are you sure you didn't just crack two eggs in there?" I thought that was cute, she was sceptical.

Our Eggs

Our eggs are coming steady now, we have been getting three a day and they are a little small. They taste just like any other egg but the yoke is a dark orange. Savannah, Sheridon, and Sadie always fight over who gets to go out and get the eggs.
I hope that continues because we are going to be getting a lot more next summer!! We have 12 chickens and they are supposed to lay an egg every other day, but I think that the few that are laying are laying one a day, you do the math! We hope to sell some soon.

We got new windows in the bedrooms. They were installed just today, they did eight of them and they were done right after lunch, I was very impressed. The bottom goes up of course but then the top can go down and the screen can move up or down so you can have the top of the window open and have it screened. They also tilt in for easy cleaning. Not that I will ever clean them, but oh well, it is a nice thought.

I am so happy I have wanted new windows for years and it finally happened!!

Donovan got these cute little goats from a friend until we can get some of our own, they are just to keep our little Angel happy. They are a little scared of us, and Angel showed them who was boss when we first put them in the fence with her but I think they are helping her not be so sad!

This is our little Angel,

We have had our first scare with the goats. The night of the 13th they started vomiting and they were just making this horrible little baaa noise, not normal at all. Sunday the 14th they had stopped vomiting but they were still very weak and not normal, we gave them some stuff that we found the recipe for that was supposed to help them feel better but this morning one of the two goats we named Rascal was just lying on the ground all wet and not even trying to get up. We rushed her to the vet and they are going to keep her over night and give her some fluids and charcoal to make sure all the poison is our of her system. I hope the poor little thing keeps on kicking!!

OUR FIRST EGG!!! Our chickens finally laid their first egg, we are so excited to finally see something from them!! We have Easter Egg chickens so the egg is light green. It is small because they are still a little bit young, the eggs will get bigger as they get bigger!!

We went to Fort Walton beach for our last summer vacation, during the Labor Day weekend. It was a beautiful day, there was hardly any wind, and there were not any waves. I was able to just lay on the blanket and enjoy the sun while the girls played happily in the sand.
I love the beach it is so relaxing and you are never in a hurry we stayed on the beach for 3 hours before we made the girls leave and get somehting to eat because I was starving. We did some shopping and then went straight back out to the beach.
It is a tradition in the family when we go we have to build a tunnel and Savannah is hard at work!

Sadie loved it, she did get stung once by a jelly fish though.

Sadie loves her sister Sheridon she has to do everything that she does, and Sheridon doesn't mind it usually so I had to take this picture, it will remind me of how sweet Sheridon is to her little sister everytime I see it.

Well I have jumped on the band wagon and started my own blog. The Sherilyn and Donovan blog, its going to be lots, and lots of fun!!!

Sadielyn is our little chicken wrangler. She has been able to catch the chickens ever since they were teeny, tiny!
My little water babies love to swim 24/7, we love our pool, most of the time.

We have a hobby farm of which has already had a tragedy, the black bunny, named midnight, passed away. The white one, snowball, seems to be doing fine. We hope all our little animals keep on kickin.
